Unsettled day at work

Monday was a difficult day at work; a woman who works for one of the teams that reports to me was killed in an automobile accident. I found out from human resources shortly after I walked in the door and before anyone on any of the teams. I spent most of the morning talking to the managers that report to me and getting them to talk to their individual teams. Donna has largest group of employees, including the team where the woman worked; she spent the most time talking to groups of employees.
