When I was in college, I always loved a schedule that finished early on Fridays and started a long weekend!

Drama 40A: Development of Drama-Greek Drama through Shakespeare. Readings from Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, Aristophanes, Marlowe, Shakespeare, and the anonymous playwrights of the medieval theatre.

Drama 130A: Intermediate Acting-Rehearsal and presentation of at least five scenes from contemporary material. Exercises in developing relationship communication and character-to-character contact.

Drama 148A: History of American Musical Theatre-Discusses the composers, librettists, directors, choreographers, and performers in the American musical theatre. 1700s-1940s: ballad opera, minstrels, vaudeville, burlesque, operetta, revues, and musical comedy.

Writing 30: Beginners' workshop in the writing of poetry, evaluation of student manuscripts, and parallel readings.
