2009 Lake Almanor Day 3

Jack Wakeboarding from heringermr on Vimeo.

We spent a long morning on the lake in the boats. Drew and Marlana initially went out with Tomasin and Chris. Drew and Marlana wakeboarded. Marlana had never been up behind a boat before, but was able to get up on the wakeboard on her second attempt.

Jack and I caught a ride out to Tomasin's boat with the Snipes. Jack continued to work on getting up on the wakeboard. He must have gone about fifteen times. Each time he got a better coming out of the water and a little more stable on the board. My back felt a little stiff from tubing yesterday, but I gave the wakeboard a try and was able to get up out on the water on my third and fourth attempts and ski for a short distance.

The excitement for the morning included watching a bowling ball being dropped from a plane into the lake!

Sharon and Janie headed over to the western shore and walked on the bike trail. Afterwards, they headed into Greenville to look for a blender.

After a late lunch, we had a lazy afternoon. Both Drew and I played some cribbage with Jack. Jack spent some time swimming with the older kids.

Sharon and Janie headed into Chester for some shopping.

We finished the day with a late dinner of rump roast and baked potatoes cooked by Hunter and Debbie.
