Christmas Tree 2009

Facing a very busy next nine days, we decided to get a Christmas Tree early this year. Five of the last six years (2008, 2007, 2005, 2004 and 2003), we have gotten a flocked Christmas tree in the Cal Expo parking lot. Driving down to Cal Expo after Outlaws batting practice, we got a rude awakening; the Cal Expo Christmas Tree lot is not there this year.

After debating what to do, we headed towards Elk Grove. Heading down Highway 99, I noticed a lot north of Sheldon on West Stockton advertising flocked trees. It turns out that it is the same company that has been at Cal Expo the last few years, Lamb's Christmas Trees. They indicated that they have been at this site for fifteen years and that they did not have a second lot at the Cal Expo lot this year because the rent was too high.

Although the selection of flocked trees was not as large as some previous years, we picked out a nice tree. The flocking was still wet. I am going to pick it up on my way home after work on Monday.
