Jack played with the SEAS Eagles in the first game of the SJE 2011 Summer Basketball League. With six teams, the league stretches over the next five weeks with two games a week. With the Outlaws playing baseball until the end of July, I am not sure how many of the games Jack is going to play.
SEAS played SJE in the first game of the league. They lost to SJE twice during the regular season in the Christian Brothers tournament and the second round of the season ending PAL tournament.
I had intended to keep score, but forgot my iPad charging at work. Jack ended up scoring 5 points on 2 for a bunch. He struggled with his shot. Jack had two nice steals but missed the lay-ups and also missed a point blank shot on a nice pass from Joe. He had a couple of turnovers at the beginning of the game, but settled down and took better care of the ball as the game progressed.
Taking way too many three point shots [I really wish I had been keeping score], the SEAS Eagles lost to SJE by the score of 47 to 34.
The refereeing was terrible.
Their record for the summer league is now 0 wins and 1 loss. The game log is here.
