As I wander the world, I am fascinated by geography and history. I love exploring where I have been from a spatial perspective.
On September 16, 2011, I crossed the 19 mile wide Foveaux Strait from the South Island of New Zealand to Stewarts Island and then
hiked on the Ryan's Creek Track. The map below gives a perspective of where we were on the globe.

That's wild. How long did it take to hike those 19 miles? A full day, or did you stay overnight? You were also mighty close to the most southern (available) land on Earth!
