Liverpool won the game by the score of 2 to 0. The game started with a questionable handball call in the box called on Tottenham in the first 22 seconds. Liverpool converted the penalty kick. This early penalty goal changed the feel of game.
Although Tottenham dominated possession, they never scored. Livermore added a second goal at the 87' mark.
