Sharon and I finished watching Bridgerton Season Three on Wednesday. We watched season one in March of 2021, season two in August of 2022 and the related Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story in July of 2023.Part one of the third season premiered on May 16, 2024, with part two following on June 13, 2024. The series was renewed for a fourth season in April 2021.
Bridgerton is a period drama series created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes. It is based on Julia Quinn's novels set in the competitive world of Regency era London's ton during the season when debutantes are presented at court. Unlike the series of novels, Bridgerton is set in an alternate history with a racially integrated London where people of color are members of the ton, including some with titles granted by the sovereign.
Season three focuses on the marriage of Colin Bridgerton, the third Bridgerton son to Penelope Featherington, the youngest Featherington daughter. Season three also includes the marriage of Francesca Bridgerton, Countess of Kilmartin, the sixth Bridgerton child and third daughter.
I have enjoyed the series. I recommend it.
