I rode with Allan. Eric and Steve were also in the foursome. I know the three of them from the Sacramento CIO/CTO Roundtable that I used to attend. Additionally, Allan worked for Larkin in the late 80s and early 90s.
After struggling on the driving range at The Angeles National Club on Friday, I felt good warming up on the range. We played a scramble. We ended up using five of my drives. I hit safely on to two of the par threes. Although I had a number of miss hits, I felt like I was striking the ball better. Although everyone was outdriving me, the rest of the group wasn't that much better than I am.
We ended up 7 over. We had one birdie using my tee shot on the par three 7th hole, one double bogey and six bogeys. We were scrambling around the greens a lot.
I really enjoyed the day!
