Starting in Old Sacramento in the morning, Jack and I spent the day following the Pony Express Route from Sacramento to Stateline, Nevada. Along the way, we stopped at all of the California State Historical Landmarks commemorating the remount and relay stations. We checked into the Marriot Grand Residence Club at South Lake Tahoe. After dinner at Cecil's Steak & Brew, we settled in and watched Star Wars - Episode I, The Phantom Menace on DVD.
