2009 LYB Minor Twins

In spite of playing with mostly 11 and 12 year olds, Jack had a very good Spring Rec baseball season. The Twins were representative of most of the teams in the Minor Division and included: three 10 year olds, seven 11 year olds and two 12 years olds. Jack lead the team in on-base percentage (0.612), batting average (.548), hits (23) and fewest strike-outs (8). With Cooperstown and the Northern California Cal Ripken tournaments coming up, it is going to get much harder. It will be interesting to see how he does.

Jack pitched 21 innings in 12 games. His ERA was 4.86. After not pitching at all in AAA or with the Gunners, Jack improved steadily as a pitcher over the course of the season. He has improved enough that I think that he might pitch a couple of innings at Cooperstown.
