Tom, Kevin, Eric, Sharon, Jack and I went to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Overall, the group enjoyed the movie more than I did. I thought it was a little slow in parts. While it is not fair to compare movies to books, the last two books are so big and cover so much ground that I think even doing three movies does not adequately cover all of the key plot points.
I think they were constrained by the PG rating. I totally missed the big fight scene at the school between the students/aurors and the dementors. And they didn't even show Dumbledore's funeral. I heard they are saving that for the beginning of the next movie.
