On day seven, I rode in Nevada from Genoa to Dayton. I started from the Pony Express marker in Genoa and finished next to the Pony Express marker in Dayton. For the first time, I rode on roads that I have never actually driven before; I have not driven from Carson City to Dayton. Leaving Carson City, Highway 50 climbs; I hit a short section with a 9.5% grade. It then drops sharply into Dayton. After some pretty barren countryside, I was pleasantly surprised by the trees along the river entering Dayton.
The trip log for Virtually Biking Across America is here.
