Sunday night July 18, Sharon and I finished watching season one of Modern Love. It is a romantic comedy anthology series based on the weekly column of the same name published by The New York Times. It adapts different love stories taking place in New York City.
Modern Love premiered on Amazon Prime Video on October 18, 2019. It has some interesting stars in the cast, including Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, Dev Patel, John Slattery and Andy García. Season one has eight roughly thirty minute episodes.
In October 2019, the series was renewed for a second season which is set to premiere on August 13, 2021. The second season cast includes Minnie Driver and Kit Harington.
I am frankly a little luke warm on the series. Overall, it was interesting, but not something I strongly recommend. I suspect that Sharon and I will watch season two. I was fascinated by the way that they tied the last episode back into the first seven.
