I use five different applications as part of my ongoing fitness routines. These include Apple Activity, Peloton, RunKeeper, Pedometer++ and Withings.
Peloton includes Power Zone Training. Power Zone Training is a method of intentional training based on the metric of output. It is a great tool to both improve and track your fitness over time. There are seven power zones (or ranges of output) that are based on each rider’s performance on a fitness test called a “Functional Threshold Power Test” or “FTP Test”.
I took my first FTP test on November 27, 2020. I usually do one Power Zone class a week in combination with other classes. I retook the test. My total output increased about 14%. My functional threshold power now measures 198 watts.
