Sharon and Tom's plan for the morning was to visit the Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs exhibit at the De Young Museum. Sharon said that it was "awesome!"
It turns out that one of the few premium excursions on our Israel/Egypt/Jordan tour is The Temples at Abu Simbel. The temples were constructed in the 13th century BC during the reign of Ramses II. Rediscovered only in the early 19th century, these UNESCO World Heritage Sites were moved from their original location in 1968 during the construction of the Aswan Dam. Sharon now wants to consider this excursion.
They had lunch at Pacific Catch. I found this restaurant when we hiked the first part of the SF Crosstown Trail.
After lunch, Sharon and Tom hiked the middle section of the SF Crosstown Trail. Sharon and I have done this section twice: once in 2021; and, again in 2022 with Jack.
They finished the day with dinner at Mourad, a Michelin Star Moroccan Restaurant.
