2012 Management Symposium

I spent the day at the Sutter Health Management Symposium at the Sacramento Convention Center. There were over 1,400 managers from all over the system. They are expecting another 1,000 managers on the second day of the symposium on Wednesday.

After presentations by the CEO and COO, the middle of the day was spent on two sessions titled Leading Change to Transform, Personalize and Grow. Lead by Gordon Rudow of Bonfire Communications, the sessions focused on using personal stories to help communicate the mission and vision of the organization. I was a table lead for the working part of the sessions.

The day finished with a session titled Radical Accountability - Making the Leap from Individual Contributor to Extreme Leader by Steve Farber.
