When we flew back from Germany in 2016, I was shocked how much it cost me to park at the San Francisco Airport. With a 3:10 pm United flight scheduled from San Francisco to London, we decided to have a car service take us to the airport. They picked us up a little after 9:00 am. We were at the airport about 11:40 am. Given how bad the traffic was, I am doubly glad that we had someone else drive.
Checking our luggage, we breezed through security. When we went to Victoria last summer, I signed us up for CLEAR. Using CLEAR, we went straight to the front of the line.
We sat and had lunch at the Mustard Grill (Sonoma Lamb Burger and Crab Louie Salad). From there, we wandered into the United Club. In hindsight, we probably should have just eaten there...
The flight loaded on time about 2:20 pm. Sharon had some teeth gnashing about the seats. Over the last week, United changed the plane type twice and moved our seats each time. With me trying to react to the seat changes, we ended up in an exit row aisle and middle. There was a very large space for the exit row. Sharon wasn't happy that there was no place to put anything. I enjoyed the huge leg space and room to stand up.
I spent most first half of the flight reading my book. I eventually pulled out my AirBook. I was surprised at the quality of the wifi. I worked on my status report and iMessaged and Skyped with a number of people. We ended the day somewhere over the Atlantic trying to get a little sleep.
