Angels & Demons

With Jack on an overnight trip with his class to the Marin Headlands, Sharon and I went out to dinner and a movie. We originally intended to try a new restaurant, but it was closed and we ended up at Paesano's. We were happier with the food than we have been in the past (Steak and Chop Salads).

Afterwards, we went to see Angels & Demons. Of the four Dan Brown novels (Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortress and Deception Point), Angels & Demons has always been my favorite.

I enjoyed the movie. Visually, I loved the locations in Rome. Sharon and I spent five days in Rome in October of 1996. In its favor, the screenplay also does away with one of the more outlandish plot points in the book: Langdon jumping out of a helicopter without a parachute.
