2009 Flag Football Game #2

Jack played in his second flag football game of the 2009 season. It was cold and windy. With lightning and thunderstorms in the morning, they actually canceled the early games.

With two weeks since the last game and only one practice, the team looked very out of sync from the beginning of game. Jack played defense in the first quarter. They used him about half the time as the pass rusher. The Quick Silver's offense unit scored one touchdown in the first quarter to lead 6 to 0.

In the second quarter, he played wide receiver on offense. Jack's group only ran about six offense plays and Jack never got the ball thrown to him.

After playing defense in the third quarter, Jack played quarterback for six plays in the fourth quarter. Although several of the passes were pretty well thrown, he was 0 for 4.

For the other team, Joe from Jack's school threw three long touchdown passes against the other defensive unit.

The Quick Silver lost the game by a score of 19 to 6. Their record for the season is 1 win and 1 losses.

In the past, Jack has gotten very frustrated when they failed to get the ball to him. In a sign of some maturity, he was actually pretty philosophical about the loss after the game.
