Looking for something short to read until the new Dan Brown book came out, I picked up The Tales of Beedle the Bard off my stack of books. Having read all of the Harry Potter books over the years, I bought the book when it was released a year ago. Jack read it and I just stuck it back in the stack.
In the context of the Harry Potter universe, the book is worth reading. As the IS CFO said a number of years ago when we were talking the books, J.K. Rowlings has done a masterful job of building and populating an alternative universe. This book adds to the breadth and depth of this universe.
My only complaint is the brevity of the book. It almost does not seem like enough material for a stand alone book.
