On Sunday night after I got back from the Petersen Shootout, Sharon, Jack and I went to the Jesuit Spring Sports Banquet at the Father Barry Gym. This was the second year in a row [2013] that we have gone. It included the Baseball, Tennis, Swimming, Diving, Track & Field and Volleyball teams. After a short speech by the athletic director and a pasta dinner, the teams broke up into separate rooms. The JV baseball team went to the library.
Coach Tucey was very brief. He gave each boy a certificate. After the individual certificates, four awards with plaques were given for the season: Alex - Coach's Award; Cooper - Most Improved; Sam - Silver Slugger and a special coaches acknowledgment to Andrew Child.
