Jack played in his 10th game of the 2008 little league season against the Indians. Two of his classmates—Andy and Joe—were on the other team. Feeling under the weather and running a slight fever, Jack had a lackluster game.
At the plate Jack was 1 for 3 with a walk. He struck out in his first plate appearance. In his second at-bat, he walked. Jack singled through the right side of the infield and came around to score in his third opportunity.
The Padres had fallen behind by the score of 8 to 1. Clawing away, they ate into the lead. They tied the score in the bottom of the six. With the bases loaded and two outs, Jack got up. He drove one up the middle that Joe fielded and made the out at second.
Jack played five innings at shortstop.
The game ended with the score tied 9 to 9. The Padres now have 5 wins, 4 losses and 1 tie.
