Jack and I went to Klenherd Park in Woodland. The Outlaws played the Woodland Thunder.
At the plate, Jack was 1 for 2 with an RBI. In his first at-bat, he fell behind in the count 0 and 2. Jack tomahawked the third pitch through the left side of the infield as the shortstop was rotating over to hold the runner at second. On at first, Jack purposely got caught in a rundown so that Josh could score from third. With the bases loaded, Jack hit a 1 and 1 pitch to the right side of the infield in his second plate appearance. It was probably his sharpest hit ball in the last couple of weeks. Glancing off his extended glove, the Thunder second baseman was able to track the ball down and get Jeremy in a fielder's choice at second. Jack drove in one run. Jack ended the inning stranded at third.
In the field, Jack played two innings in left field, an inning at third and an inning at first. He only had one opportunity to handle the ball. Playing first with Matthew playing shortstop, Matthew fielded a slow roller and threw a ball in the dirt to Jack's right; Jack was mad at himself for not digging it out...
The Outlaws won the game by a score of 6 to 5 in a long four innings. The next tournament is the weekend of October 17 and 18.
